ERECTED to the Memory of Mr. Daniel Mooare, who died Jan. 5, 1816, in the 59 year of his age. Mrs. Esther Mooare, his wife who died Oct. 1 1807, in the 52 year of her age. [Note: 52nd year, so age 51, born about 1756.]
↑Source:Worcester, Samuel Thomas. History of the Town of Hollis, New Hampshire shows no Tarbox family in Hollis, and no record is found of the birth or marriage of Esther Tarbox. The supposition that Tarbox is her maiden name probably comes from Source:Mooar, George. Mooar (Moors) Genealogy : Abraham Mooar of Andover and His Descendants, p. 39, where "correspondents" claim Daniel Mooar "married a Miss Tarbox". Consequently, there are some doubts and it is unknown how reliable this identification is. If she were shown to be a widow, that might change the analysis discussed on Daniel's page. There are Esthers of the appropriate age born in Hollis under different maiden names, but they have only been superficially investigated.
