[An Esther Read of Salem, N.H. did marry James Butter of Wilmington, but the chain of proof that it is the same Esther is not presented. Simeon is mentioned in his mother's will of 1806 and signed a petition in 1813. Since he did not die, it appears perhaps it is a different Esther Read... That would probably also mean the death in 1823, which isn't listed in Wilmington VRs anyway, is probably a different person.]
↑ Presumably Esther is the first daughter with 2nd wife Esther Beard. Esther Beard married Nathaniel 16 Feb 1757, so the birth of daughter Esther would be expected to be late 1757 at the earliest, probably later.
