Estelle was the caregiver of her family. Her husband was killed in World War II and she never married again. She took care of her brothers and sisters in her home when they needed her. She provided a home for her mother until her mother Martha died. As if that were not enough, she even took in her nieces adn nephews when they needed a home.

She was a lovely woman, dark-complected with brown eyes. In my memory whe always had silver salt and pepper hair. Her voice was gentle with a slight Kentucky accent. I never heard her say a harsh word about anyone, in fact, she seemed to try to find something good to say. Per Carolyn
