Jones resident Ernest M. Wolfe died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 89.
Wolfe was born Aug. 24, 1909, in Coyle to Frank A. and Leola Nettie (Byerly) Wolfe.
He married Vera Couch in 1933.
He graduated from State Center School in 1933. He was an active member of the Choctaw Seventh Day Adventist Church and served on many community, church-related and school boards.
Survivors include his wife, Vera, of the home; daughters, ; sisters, , both of Jones, Miriam Pound, Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard; sister, Leonora; and grandson, Jon Krueger.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Summit Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Harrah, with Pastor Max Trevino officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in Jones.
