Ernest Burhouse and his wife, Maude Woodhead were very distant cousins. Ernest was descended from William Burhouse, born 1787, and Maude was descended from John Burhouse, born 1777. The baptisms of both John and William have been found. Their father was Joseph who was probably born about 1750.
