Ernest A. Buchanan, 51, of 703 Glen street, a Janesville resident for the past 16 years and an employee of the Fisher Body corporation for four years, died at 4 a.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital following an illness of eight weeks.
He was born in Leamington, Canada, Feb. 5, 1880 [should be 1888], and was married to Miss Cassie Gray, in Rockford, March 23, 1914. Mr. Buchanan was a plumber by trade. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Leona and Norma, at home; two brothers and one sister in Canada, a sister in England and two sisters in Detroit.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Whaley-Overton funeral home, with the Rev. Hal E. Norton, First Baptist church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday.
