Will of "Ephraim Whitney of Royalston ... being aged and infirm", dated 27 May 1823, filed 14 Apr 1824, proved 19 Oct 1824, names wife Sarah; youngest daughter Sarah Whitney; "As my only Son, ephraim Whtiney, Jun. has been may years absent, & for a long time past we have had no information whatever concerning him, it is presumed he is not living - but should it turn out, contrary to all probability and expectation, that he is still living" 3 daughters to pay him $50; three daughters, Lucy Richardson, Hannah Whitney & Sarah Whitney. Daughter Hannah to be executrix.
