Ephraim3 Jones (Abraham2, Thomas1) was born at Hull before 1677 and died at Braintree, Massachusetts 27 January 1757. … He was surveyor of highways 1715, 1725, constable 1717, 1718, 1723, 1727-9, tithingman 1720, 1721, 1727, 1731, hogreave 1723, 1737. Resided on Pond St. So. Braintree, east of Town St. where in 1707 he and his brother Thomas bought the Alby or Water Farm of Samuel Sewall, 28 acres."
