Rocky Hill); married first, at Wethersfield, 20 May 1684, Sarah3 Treat …, born at Wethersfield, 8 June 1664, died there 26 Jan. 1711/12, in her 48th year, daughter of Maj. Richard2 and Sarah (Coleman) Treat; married second, at Wethersfield, 25 Dec. 1712, Jerusha3 (Treat) Welles …, born about 1678, died at Wethersfield, 15 Jan. 1754 in her 76th year (gravestone), daughter of Lieut. James2 and Rebecca (Lattimer) Treat, and widow of Capt. Thomas Welles … . [Sarah Treat and Jerusha (Treat) Welles were first cousins.]

He was commissioned Ensign of the Glastonbury trainband, May 1698, under Capt. Samuel Welles and Lieut. Samuel Hale, and Lieutenant of the same, May 1710. Moving back to Wethersfield, he was made Lieutenant of the south company there, May 1713, and Captain, May 1716. He was Deputy for Glastonbury at the Oct. 1702 session of the General Court. …

Ephraim Goodrich of Wethersfield conveyed 30 Jan. 1737/8 to his son, David Goodrich of Glastonbury; 23 Feb. 1737/8 to his son, Gideon Goodrich of Wethersfield, land in Glastonbury; and 30 Jan. 1737/8 to his sons Richard Goodrich of Middle town and Thomas Goodrich of Glastonbury."[1]

  4. Hale, House page 557, one place has 27 February 1739 as date of death instead of 28 February 1739. Checked it against the entry in Wethersfield Inscriptions which has 28 February.
