Mrs. Emma Deschner, age 75, of Mt. Vernon, Route 3, died at 6:17 on Monday at the Crestview Resthome in Freistatt after an illness of a year.
She was a life long resident of Lawrence Co. and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Freistatt.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob; three daughters, Mrs. Ester Osterloh of Verona Route 2, Mrs. Bertha Rusch of Wheaton, Minnesota and Mrs. Della Garoutte of Freistatt; two sons, Willard and Erwin of the home; one sister, Mrs. Martha Krueger of Monett route 3; two brothers, Gus Quade and John Quade, both of Mr. Vernon route 3; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with the Rev. W. J. Stelling officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of H. D. Fossett. - ↑ The census shows Emma P Quade living with her parents, Robert W and Emma, and brothers, Frederick W, Paul A, Gustav T and Robert H, and sisters, Hedweig L and Martha K. She was born in April 1883. She was 16 years old. She was born in Missouri. Her parents were born in Germany. She spoke English. She was able to read, write and speak English.
