    Mrs. Emily I. Gardiner, wife of Rev. T. L. Gardiner, and daughter of Eld. A. A. Place, died in Shiloh, N. J., July 22, 1888, in the 40th year of her age. Her sickness was long and painful, but victory came at last, and she passed to her rest in the fullest assurance of the Christian's hope.
