    ... (68) ii Judge James Steele Henderson, b 2, Sept. 1807; d Jan. 1884, Fulton, Mo. ; m June 1832, Emily Boone (b 1813; d 1873) dau Jesse B. Boone and gr-dau of the noted pioneer Daniel Boone and Rebecca Bryan. Jesse Boone was one of the commissioners appointed to organize Callaway Co., 1820 ; and a member of the General Assembly of Mo., during its first session.

    Judge Henderson came to Callaway with his father, from Fleming Co., Ky., in 1823; in 1827 obtained a situation in a store in Fulton, Mo., as a clerk; in 1830 he opened a store of his own in the same town ; elected Treasurer of Callaway in 1842 ; later treasurer of the Mo. State Insane Asylum No. 1, located at Fulton; Second Treas. of Westminster College. In 1860 was instrumental in organizing the Fulton branch of the Western Bank of Mo., and was elected cashier, which position he held during the life of the Bank, 1860-65. Mrs. Henderson was one of the thirteen charter members of Fulton Presbyterian church. ...
