↑ According to old Pedigree Resource Files, and "family documents on Ancestry.com", Emerald Brigham ended up in Texas, possibly m. (1) Martha Mott, m. (2) Nancy Hardison and dying in 1863. The basis for this is unknown, though obviously this is a unique name, and he appears to have children named Seth and Eunice. However, the quality of the research is unknown (e.g., 1860 census says "E. Brigham", Find A Grave has no image, possibly the best information comes from here which includes a picture of Nancy's gravestone, but still contains such unimpressive statements as Emerald's birth is "1 May 1790/1793", as if the reliability of an age in the census is on a par with a recorded birth date, when, if anything, the discrepancy might suggest this is a poor identification.)
↑ In the family register on p. 12, no gender is given. A duplicate record found in a copy p. 9 explicitly calls Emerald a son. The published vital records, on p. 15, call him a daughter, which appears to be an error.
