The 1850 census for Spruce wards of Reading PA has an Emanuel Riffert aged 21 Living with his wife Elizabeth age 20 and a child Andrew aged 1.His occupation is listed as a Machinist. They are living with and older couple John Riffert aged 63 and wife Elizabeth age 61. Are they his parents or maybe Grandparents? If this is the same Emanuel Riffert that is Samuel's father than apparently he was married twice., his first wife probably having died before he married Susan Pinkerton.
