Elthea (Craig) Buskirk, 86, of 3871 N. SR 101, Tiffin, died 9:09 a.m., Monday, May 15, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin.

Elthea was born April 6, 1920, to Lyle and Laura (Hawk) Craig in Seneca CO. On June 1, 1941, she married Paul J. Buskirk, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Paul Albert (Judy) Buskirk of Ashburn, Va., and Steven Craig (Karen) Buskirk of Tiffin; and a daughter, Mary Ellen (Reed) Fraley of Grandville. Elthea had 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy L. and Karl M. Craig; a sister Ellen Mae (Craig) Behrendsen; and a half-sister, Bobbie Jo Heichel. Elthea also was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Olivia Buskirk.

Elthea was a graduate of Green Springs High School and Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. She was a homemaker and nurse having served in various capacities.

She was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, Union Grange, Seneca CO Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Council, Seneca CO Historical Society, and Seneca CO Genealogical Society. Elthea also was a member of "First Families of Seneca CO and OH."

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman Grimes officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church or to Green Springs EMS.
