Mrs. Elnora Snyder, wife of the late Jacob Snyder, died at her home on Dingman Run, Sunday, April 8, following a paralytic stroke which she suffered April 5. Mrs. Snyder had been in poor health for more than a year and the death of her son and daughter which occurred a short time ago, seemed to hasten her death. Mrs. Snyder, who was 80 yrs of age, came to Potter county with her parents when a child of 12, and has resided in the Dingman Run settlement all her life. She was a home loving and industrious Christian woman, and well respected by all who knew her, and leaves a large circle of friends who will miss her kindly ways and courteous manner. Elnora Green was born at Tonawanda, Cattaraugus co., NY, on March 22, 1848, and m. Jacob Snyder of Dingman in 1867. To this union were born 8 children, 5 sons & 3 daus., 4 of whom survive her: David, John, Daniel & Cleveland, all of Coundersport; also 8 grandchildren. Mr. Snyder preceded her in death in 1909. Services will be held in the Hebron Church April 12, and burial will be made at the Hebron family plot.
