Mr. Elmo William Duncan -- 85, A native and resident of Mobile, AL for 81 years and a resident of Fairhope, AL died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at a local nursing facility. Mr. Duncan was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Marguerite Murrill Duncan; three daughters, Janis (Ralph) Corley, of Pensacola, FL, Monica (Von) Coward, of Fairhope, AL and Susan (Dennis) Savage, of Mobile, AL; three sons, David (Lyn) Duncan, Bill Duncan, both of Mobile, AL and Chris Duncan, of Fairhope, AL; sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandsons, one sister, Florence Dyess; and one brother-in-law, Jack Murrill, both of Mobile, AL. Mr. Duncan was a U. S. Army-Air Force World War II Veteran, retired from Alabama Power Company after 37 years of service and served as an altar server for Archbishop Thomas J. Toolen into his adult life. He was a devoted member of St. Monica Catholic Church and Little Flower Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, with the Rosary at 5 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Saturday, June 17, 2006 from the Cathedral-Basillica of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL 36606. Published in the Mobile Register from 6/15/2006 - 6/16/2006.
