A Elmer Gilbert moved to Campbellford with three of his children. The children William Daniel, Calvin, and Sarah Clara Gilbert.

William Daniel Gilbert married Selina ( Selenia ) Anderson and had numerous children. They moved from Campbellford to Herkimer, NY with Selina's parents - James Anderson and Caroline Kiernan.

Sarah married James Tayler whom Elmer later resided. Census 1881 reads Elmore and 1871 census Elmer both in Campbellford, Ontario.

The spelling of Elmer shows as Elmon when he married Hannah Jones in Sophiasburgh. The spelling on Calvin's marriage certificate reads as Aylmer.

Jim's grandfather is Edward Ernest Gilbert married to Viola Gregg.
