Obituary

Elma Hosler Prause, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at her home in Echo Township, Antrim County.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., in East Jordan.  Paster Dave Scott of the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.
 She was born on Sept. 22, 1915, in East Jordan, the daughter of Francis A. 'Frank" and Edith Decker.  She had worked several years at the East Jordan Canning Factory and Mount Clemens Metal Products in East Jordan, now known as Dura.  She had attended the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church in Echo Township.
 Elma enjoyed gardening, playing cards and crocheting.
 She is survived by four children, Alfred Hosler of East Jordan, Pat (Ken) Alexander of Traverse City, Sally Scott of Traverse City and Judy Hosler of Rockford;  two stepchildren, Karen Octaluk of Gwinn and Allen Prause of Central lake; nine grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Phillip (Donna) Decker of Charlevoix; two sisters, Margaret Drenzy of East Jordan and Nellie Bowers of Petoskey; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hosler in 1964; her parents; two brothers, Roland Decker and Charles Franklin Decker; and one sister, Blanche Decker Cutler.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Penzien Fuenral Homes, Inc., in East Jordan.  Memorials may be given to Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church or the East Jordan Ambulance Association.
