Ellen Florence Maitland McGOWAN Ellen was born on March 23, 1915 to John Earl Maitland and Veva Mary Galloway Maitland in Orting, Washington. She left us on February 24, 2012. Ellen was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Edward; her brothers, Wes and Bill; and sisters Veva, Shirley and Mary. She is survived by her children: Maureen Peterson and Michael McGowan (Wendy); brother, Don Maitland (Ruby) and sister, June Koch; grandchildren, David Peterson (Daphne), William Peterson (Michele), Dan Peterson (Marianne), Mark Peterson (Angie), Kelly McGowan Brady (Tim), and Megan McGowan Epstein (Alan); and ten great grandchildren: Trevor, Alex, John, Nick, James, Ryan, Jack, Brynn, Matteson and Aela. A celebration of Ellen's life will be held March 1 at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Lakewood, WA at 3 pm.
