Ella Thompson's first marriage was to Clyde "Buck" Ferguson. They had a son and a daughter, Doris (married Ed Zimmerman- had children Judy, Carolyn, & David). Her son (I don't recall and have not located his name or data) had refused contact with his mother for decades (since age 18) and she was extremely reluctant to discuss anything about him. There was also very limited contact with her daughter, who apparently did have periodic contact with her brother.

She and Buck were residents at Tideview Estates, where Ralph and Betty also resided when they all met and "chumed" some. Ella married to Ralph Braught within days after his bitter divorce from wife #2. Remained with Ralph approx. 3 yrs until his death ( see notes regarding her lack of contact with Braught family afterwards). She was good to Ralph despite her unfortunate tensions with others. She remained living at Tideview Estates after Ralph's death. Her SSDI# 187-14-6812.

June 2002 I received an email from a "[email protected]" seeking medical information on Howard Ferguson ( I assumed to be Ella's son), who she said was her birth father that she had not seen since she was age 8. I replied with known facts (see copy in file of Ralph Braught). No added communications from her for at least 4 years.

Feb. 2000 I received a report of Ancestors of Charles Frederick Thompson from Tom Thompson, 7108 E. Creeke Edge Dr., Willington, NC 28409 email = [email protected] that started with "You listed Ennis Howard Thompson in your data base. He was my grandfather's brother." I replied that he was father of my father's third wife, Ella Alice Thompson (Ferguson, Braught), and what little else I knew of her relations.
