Mrs. Ellie Pruitt, 72, (188_-1958) Sulphur, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She was a member of the Sulphur Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter: Mrs. Bessie Sears, Greenwood, IN; two sons: Felix Pruitt, Indianapolis, IN and Raymond Pruitt, Sligo; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Etta Miskell, New Castle, Mrs. Mattie Kidwell, Sligo and Mrs. Nellie Coons, Prospect.
Funeral services were conducted by W. A. McCarty Funeral Directors at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sulphur Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Gillis officiated. Following the funeral service, the body was removed to the Louisville Crematory where the remains were cremated. The cremated remains were buried Thursday in the Sulphur Cemetery.
