A Henry "Botshodd" married at Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, 26 January 1631/2, Elizabeth Woolhead (F. G. Emmison, ed., Bedfordshire Parish Registers. 44[1953]: 35). She was probably the daughter of Thomas "Wolhed" and Alice Lambert who married there 13 April 1607 (ibid., 33), but a suitable baptismal entry has not been found. The left side of the Bishop's Transcript from which the register for 1613 was reconstructed had decayed and no children are listed for Thomas Woolhead between George, baptized 28 October 1610, and Joan, 8 January 1615/6 (ibid.. 2). An Elizabeth Wolhedd, daughter of Thomas, baptized there 17 March 1603/4, seems too old (ibid.). … Elizabeth Woolhead of Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, seems a likely candidate for the wife of Henry Botsford of Milford, Connecticut.
