- ↑ Source:Osgood, Ira. Genealogy of the Descendants of John, Christopher and William Osgood, p. 60, says Elijah m. (3) widow --- Thompson. There are two marriages of Elijah Osgood to Elizabeth Thompson, one in 1788, and one in 1815. The first appears to be the son (see Find A Grave (no image); Source:Read, Benjamin. History of Swanzey, New Hampshire : From 1734 to 1890, p. 411; Roger's probate where an undated petition names "Elisabeth Osgood now deseasd of the town of Almond County of Allegany & state of New York" before 1838 when receipt shows petition was granted), so the father is assumed to be the one in 1815. The only married Elizabeth (---) Thompson shown in Read's book is listed as d. 1771, so the identify of the wife is unknown.
