daughter of Nicholas Proctor and unknown wife, was born probably about 1767-1770 in North Carolina. She was married 10 Sept 1787 in Madison Co. KY to Thomas Bennett ?(b prior to 1765)? with the bondsman for her marriage being Nicholas Proctor ?(probably her father)? The Bennetts lived in Madison Co. Ky., where they appear on the 1810 census with six children. They lived later in Estill Co. KY. One daughter, Polly, was married in Estill Co. in 1817, to Thomas Bryant. Polly is the only child of the Bennetts whose name is definitely known.
