Peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Warren Phillips (2007). Cherished mother of Debbie Dempsey (Pat) of Niagara Falls and Scott Phillips (Shelley) of Stoney Creek. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Corey, Emily and Joshua. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Alfred Thomas as well as all her siblings Gwyn (Laura), Mervyn (Ada), John (Mary Francis), Saranne (Tom), Alf and Ellen (Bob) She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Betty was a long time member of St. Matthew's and St. David's Anglican Church where she served on the Altar Guild for over 25 years. Family and friends will be received at H.L. Cudney Funeral Home , 241 West Main Street, Welland on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. David's Anglican Church, 369 Thorold Road on Friday at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
