Former Billings Resident Dies Funeral services were held in Hood River, Ore., for a former Billings resident, Mrs. Elizabeth Bakker, relatives reported Monday. Mrs. Bakker, 70, wife of Abe Bakker, died in a Hood River nursing home Dec. 15 of a heart ailment. She lived in Billings 32 years before moving to Oregon with her husband in 1951. Burial was in Idlewild Cemetery, Hood River. Mrs. Bakker was born Dec. 10, 1887, in Holland, Mich., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Straatsma. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John G. Brown of Grassrange, Mrs. Robert J. Brown of Hood River and Mrs. Norman Wallace of Rt. 3, Billings; three sons, Peter A. Bakker, 435 Laurie Lane, William Bakker, 1304 Miami St., and Jack Bakker, 2016 Hewitt Dr.; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Andresien of Bozeman and Miss Martha Straatsma of Beverly Hills., Calif.; two brothers, Nick Straatsma of Gillette, Wyo., and Ruel Straatsma of Rogers, Ark., and 18 grandchildren.
