Elizabeth, daughter of Asael & Elizabeth Smith, was born 2:12:[16]81.
[Note: the Dedham Historical Register, Vol. 8, p. 41, interprets 2 as the month (i.e., 12 Apr 1681), However, comparison with surrounding records, plus typical usage, both suggest 12 is the month. In old-style dates, the 12th month is February.]

PERRY, Elisabeth, w. Thomas, [died] Mar. 27, 1755.

  3. The identification of this Elizabeth Smith as Thomas Perry's wife is somewhat speculative based on her naming her first son Oliver. Of course, she seems to have an appropriate age and residence to be possible. But her brother Oliver died 1708/09, the only Oliver found in the area during her pre-marriage years, and Oliver does not seem to be a name from the Perry side. Asahel Smith's will mentions daughter Elizabeth, indicating she is unmarried in 1714 (Suffolk Probate 3660).
