Her grandson, Stephen John Russell, wrote in a letter dated 1863 that she was Elizabeth Lloyd Sandeford, but also said he was having some difficulty with the spelling of her surname in copying from the old style handwriting. The document he used as a source has not been found.

She was living on 2 Oct 1814 when she witnessed the 2nd marriage of her daughter, Mary (Russell) Hancock to Capt. William Hellard.
