[Note: this is a poorly organized book with no numbering of individuals, nor other visible clues, to show that the Elizabeth on p. 172 is the same as the Elizabeth on p. 175. Besides no other Elizabeth of appropriate age being seen in this section, the connection was made based on her first son being named Jonathan. If the relationships have been properly understood, she would appear to be Asa's cousin, Henry - > Jonathan -> Elizabeth and Henry -> Elizabeth -> Asa. However being confusing beats being wrong. Source:Houghton, John Wesley. Houghton Genealogy, p. 318 names the mother of Asa as Elizabeth Randall, not Rand, despite the recorded marriage saying otherwise; and p. 341, the wife as daughter of Henry Jr. not Jonathan, despite the Rand Genealogy saying there is no record of Henry Jr. after 1722, and Stow VRs showing no such birth; and Houghton missed several children of Asa and Elizabeth clearly recorded in Harvard VRs, including the critical first son Jonathan.]
