"James Pennock, a merchant, bought a house and land in Lyme, Conn., in 1714, and died there in 1717. The probate shows that he left a widow Mary and 'one Child of four or fivefe Years Olde.' In 1721/2 Mary Pennock conveyed to her daughter Elizabeth, clothes and household goods. Elizabeth Pennock was admitted a member of the Lyme Church, 10 Oct. 1731, and married there, 10 Dec. 1731 Joseph Howd of Branford, Conn."
