    John married Elizabeth Olney, born 31 January 1666/67; died at Providence 2 November 1699; daughter of Thomas, Jr. and Elizabeth (Marsh) Olney, and granddaughter of Thomas Olney who came to America in 1635 from the Parish of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Thomas, Sr. was one of the Original Proprietors of Providence. Elizabeth and her son, Daniel, are buried on the Mashapauge Farm in Providence where John and Elizabeth lived.
