Parentage

Elizabeth Miller was NOT a daughter of Michael Miller and Mary Elizabeth Smith of Greenbrier County for three reasons:
1 - Marriage records in Rockingham have her father as Adam Miller [Marriages in Rockingham County, Virginia, 1778-1816, by Harry M. Strickler, pg. 47].
2 - Michael Miller and Elizabeth Smith were married 24 Feb 1791 in Greenbrier County, some eight years AFTER this Elizabeth was born.[Greenbrier County {w} Virginia Marriages, 1782-1900, Vol. 2, pg. 704].
3 - Michael Miller would have been only 14 years old and Mary Elizabeth Smith would have been only 11 years old when this Elizabeth Miller was born.
