  3. Barnstable VRs, p. 25, has a record at the bottom of the family register for Thomas and Elizabeth that says "His Wife Deceased ye 20 day of May 1717". On p. 67 is the marriage record showing the husband remarried in 1712 listed in a group of marriages from 1712). Further the wife he married is named in his will of 1722. Based on the placement of the death record, it would appear to apply to the mother of the children just above, i.e., Elizabeth, so should be prior to the 1712 marriage. Therefore, the most likely answer is that the year is 1711. One might speculate this is a continental 1 mistaken for a 7.
