    Elizabeth Jeffreys Rye was born November 3, 1827, married William W. Rye on February 17, 1858 and departed this life on May 22, 1898, at her home near Barnesville. She was a devoted wife and christian of the order of the Primitive Baptist of long standing. She left many bereaved relatives and friends and a bright testimony behind indicating that she has gone home to heaven."
