Identity

Her marriage record says she was of ---- in Craven. It is possible that she was the Elizabeth Ibbotson, daughter of William, baptized 22 Sep 1634 in Linton in Craven[2], who had a brother Richard baptized 26 Feb 1632 in Linton in Craven[2]. Witnesses at her marriage included Richard and Christopher Ibbotson[1]. However, there was also an Elizabeth Ibbotson, daughter of Symon, baptized 28 Nov 1641 in Rylstone, Yorkshire[2] (also with a brother Richard) who could be this Elizabeth. Note that her first son was named Simon.
