According to Virginia Cottrell, Elizabeth moved to San Augustine, Texas, to live with/near her step-son, James Madison Ardrey, after the death of her husband in 1843.
Also according to Virginia, she was living with son Robert D. Ardrey and family in 1880 age 96 (per census) in Parker Co.Texas but not in 1882 when her Ardrey father-in-law's estate was settled.
