Elizabeth Gooch, daughter of John Gooch of Caroline, married James Terry, who is said to be the son of William Terry of Hanover Co., VA.James Terry followed the Gooch family to Granville Co., NC and died there in 1799 leaving a will.It is unclear if Elizabeth survived him and her death is unknown.The children of Elizabeth Gooch are:William Terry (married Sarah Minter); Stephen Terry (married Elizabeth Barnett); James Terry (married Sarah Thorpe); John Terry (married Anna Mariah Minter); Sarah Terry (married Obediah Clements); Mary Terry (married first John Minter and 2ndly Mr. Strum); Elizabeth Terry (married Nathan Child).Many of the Terrys removed to the 96th District of SC.The Minters mentioned are first cousins, children of Anna Mariah Gooch Minter Williams.
