Elizabeth Elsom was baptised on 21st November 1725 at Weston in Hertfordshire, daughter of Elizabeth Elsom, formerly Ipwell, and her husband William Elsom, a shepherd. Her father died in 1746, when she was twenty years old. Her mother remarried three years later.

Elizabeth married in 1752, aged 26, to a labourer named Richard Stanley. They have yet to be researched in detail after their marriage, but they appear to have stayed in the Weston area and had children.

Elizabeth died in 1791, being buried at Weston on 14th May 1791. She was 65 years old.
