Another potential problem with the account of Daniel4 Warner is his statement that his grandmother's "maiden name was Denne." This would be the wife of Daniel Warner, son of the immigrant. There is no record for this marriage, nor are there any records of a family with the surname Denne. Since there was a Dane family in early Ipswich, and since the father of the compiler of this narrative married Sarah Dane, the potential for confusion is obvious, and the identification of the wife of Daniel of the second generation should be treated with caution.
