    ... Elizabeth CARSON, eldest sister of Dr. John CARSON and second child of William and Mary CARSON was born in Philadelphia February 19, 1754. She is said to have met her future husband, Colonel Christian FEBIGER when the latter was a guest at the inn of her father, the Harp and Crown. They were married August 14, 1777.

    Christian FEBIGER, a gallant soldier of the Revolution, was born on the Island of Funen, Denmark in 1746. ... His death occurred Sept 20, 1796; that of his wife (nee Elizabeth CARSON) January 5, 1817. They died without issue. Their name, however is borne today by certain of the descendants of Mrs. FEBIGER's brother, Dr. John CARSON as will hereafter appear. ...

Christian Febiger CARSON, the second of the married sons of Dr. John CARSON, was adopted by his uncle and aunt, Colonel Christian and Elizabeth (nee CARSON) FEBIGER, and by Act of Assembly, his name was changed to Christian Carson FEBIGER. He was born January 5, 1787, married February 3, 1817, Hannah Gibson LEA of Wilmington, Del., removed to Pittsburg, and later to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he died in 1829. Mrs. FEBIGER, who was born in 1794 died in 1881. Four children were born to them, to wit: Christian, John Carson, George Lea and Elizabeth Lea. ...
