A life-long resident of this district Elizabeth Ann Brewer, widow of the late Wm. Wilkinson, died at her home in Brussels on Monday morning, November 15th, after being ill with pneumonia for the pats three weeks. The deceased was born on the 4th concession of Morris Township on Sept. 9th, 1866, the daughter of the late George Brewer and Elizabeth Cook. She was united in marriage fifty-four years ago on Sept. 11th to William Wilkinson who predeceased his wife three years ago on Oct. 10th. Three years ago Mrs. Wilkinson moved to Brussels where she has since resided. She leaves to mourn their loss, four daughters, Mrs. A. J. Helm (Mae) of London; Mrs. A. Dark (Lila) Wingham; Mrs. A. Woodrow (Irene) Brussels and Mrs. L. M. Blanche Mina (Stratford). The funeral was held from her late home, James St., on Wednesday, November 17th with Rev. H. C. Wilson of the United Church of which she was a member in charge. Miss Charlie Hingston sang a favourite number of Mrs. Wilkinson's, "Once I Thought I Walked with Jesus." Pallbearers were six nephews, Wm. Brewer, Duncan Brewer, George Brewer, Herb Wheeler, Jesse Wheeler and Wilbur Proctor. Interment took place in Brussels cemetery.
