    Mrs. E.J. Peden Dead.
    Mrs. E.J. Peden of Coweta, Oklahoma, died Saturday evening at seven o'clock. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Coweta. The body will arrive in Winfield this evening and a short service will be held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at the Durrin and Swisher undertaking parlors. Burial will be made in the Union cemetery.

    Mrs. Peden has many friends here, as she lived here for several years, later going to Coweta to make her home. Mrs. Peden became ill Friday with paralysis. She would have been 78 years old next July.

    Mrs. Peden is survived by four children. Mrs. Fannie Riggs of this city, C.R. Peden of Ponca; E.D. Peden of Sawyer, Kansas and E.H. Peden of Marquette, Kansas.
