Mrs. Eliza Langworthy, wife of John A. Langworthy, of Little Genesee, N. Y., departed this life on the 24th, ult., in the 54th year of her age.

Mrs. L. was a daughter of Deacon Daniel Lewis, of Hopkinton, R. I., and was early trained to know and love the Lord. Considered as a wife and mother, she was a model of excellence. As a neighbor, she was kind without making any ostentatious display. As a counselor, her advice was sought by numerous friends who regarded her as a woman of rare prudence and discretion. As a Christian, she was earnest, and it is believed that the envious can point to no act of her life which tended to sully her good name. Her dying moments evinced unwavering confidence in the Lord Jesus, who has doubtless received her spirit. "Let her own works praise her in the gates."
