    In South Kingstown, R. I. on Saturday morning, Hon. Elisha R. Potter. He had not been more unwell than usual for the last six months, and died sitting in his chair. Mr. P. has filled a large space in the political transactions of Rhode Island during the last forty years. He was several years a member of Congress, and for more than twenty-five years a member of the General Assembly from South Kingstown.
