  4. A memorial with no gravestone image, reports the birth date as 31 Aug 1776. No such record has been found beyond the imprecise age at death. The family register of Elijah's parents in New Ipswich appears to stop after his brother was born in 1772, but since the town records are not indexed, not particularly organized, and spread over 100s of pages, it could continue somewhere else.
