    In addition, all in the same location when this transaction took place. This is a Land Deed from a son to father, that transfers ownership of land located In Buncombe Co N.C. (location very close to the S.C State Line)...
    Later this same land, Eli Sr. Langford transferred to the son Josiah Langford, Who returned to NC & SC and it is to have lived out his life there;moving to Troup Co GA in his late life.
    Here we have Stephen Langford (G/2),
    Eli Langford (G/1) both stating they Live in Jackson Co. T N.
    Then we have two of the other sons James and Josiah who
    witness the sale. *James (G/2) and Josiah Langford (G/2)
    & Eli?s son in law John Stewart, husband of Celina Langford.
    James Langford (G/2) was about 17 years old. If 18, just had a birthday!

    Know all men by these presents that I Stephen Langford of the County of Jackson in the state of Tennessee in the consideration of the sum of 100 and 5 dollars to me in hand paid by Eli Langford of the same County and state aforesaid have given granted bargained sold and released by these presents do grant bargain and sell and release unto the said Eli Langford his heirs and assigns all that track or parcel of land containing 200 acres of land. Be the same more or less laying in the county of
    Buncombe and the state of North Carolina it being part of a tract of land granted to a William Richardson Davies and John Earle.
    Beginning at a white oak corner between Edwin Hannan and Stephen Langford. On the beginning, line running west 180 poles to a stake Thence South 180 poles to a stake Thence East 180 poles to the dividing line made by Edwin Hannon and Stephen Langford Thence along the dividing land to the beginning Together with all the right and title of me the said Stephen Langford and all singular the right Hereditements the appurtenances to the said Eli Langford 200 acres of land belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining to have and to hold the said 200 acres of land before mentioned unto the said a Eli Langford his heirs and assigns and I do hereby bind myself my heirs exact doors and administrators do warrant forever defend all and singular the said 200 acres of land unto the said Eli Langford his heirs and assigns against my heirs and against every other person whatsoever lawfully blaming or to blame the same or any part there of witnessed my hand and Seal this 16th day of February in the year of our Lord 1814 and in the 38th year of the Independence of the United States Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of:
