Eleanor was born in Arkansas during the brief time that her parents lived there. Herman and Pearl had moved from Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, to Arkansas in hopes of finding a good job. However Pearl was homesick so they moved back to Lycoming County. The family lived in Arkansas only about two or three years.
By the 1920 census Eleanor was 20 years old, married and living with her parents. Her surname is Moyer but transcribed incorrectly as Mayer.
Mrs. Eleanor Pinta is listed as a surviving daughter in the 1967 obituary of her mother, Pearl.
