He was the husband of Rose (Kostyk) Walter.He worked as a presser for the Easton Clothing Company, Souderton, and served as a radarman in the Navy during World War II.He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown; the Warren Royer Post, #234, American Legion, Souderton; Pike Township Sportsmen's Association, Oley; Morwood Sportsman's Club and the Tylersport Fire Company.In addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by a son, Edward M. Walter, and a daughter Miss Constance J. Walter both at home; three brothers, William of Spring Mount, John of Sumneytown and Allen of Pennsburg; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer L. Benner, Telford, Mrs. James Hendricks of Shippensburg, and Mrs. Arthur Yerk of Telford.Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown with interment in Frieden's Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.Virgil G. Sommers, Funeral Director of Telford was in charge.
