Edwin B Plane.
[no image] [Note: hopefully the death date is based on an inscription, though no gravestone is pictured. The other information on this page seems questionable, particularly the identification of his parents as Charles Plane and Lucy Clark. In 1850 there is a Charles Plain with wife Lucy in Algonquin, IL, but his sons are Albert and George, no Edwin. Ten years later, in 1860 his wife Lucy has apparently died, but sons Albert and George now have a brother Edwin, born about 1856, the wrong age for our Edwin Plane. On the other hand, our Edwin Plane in 1860 is living in Belvidere, his parent possibly having died, and in 1850, he is living with John and Eliza Plane, probably his real parents. (Brother Frank Plane is also present in both those households, and his death record names his parents as (John Plane and E[lizabeth] Lambert.)
